A cultural and heritage program that aims to develop the skills of girls and women in al-Khalifa through knowledge exchange and heritage awareness. The program activities vary from craft workshops, sports to vocational training sessions. The program also included hands-on training in urban farming methods. Moreover, women join our heritage tours, both inside and outside al-Khalifa and contribute to our participatory research and design activities.
The program also works with the women of al-Khalifa on collecting their stories and retelling them like in the Women Quilt for al-Hattaba Project and storytelling workshops with Chirine al-Ansary within Megawra’s Khalifa Exchange Program.
