About The Project

May 2016; funded by UNESCO Cairo.

A four-day training-of-trainers workshop to produce a heritage education kit that celebrates the cultural relationships between refugees and hosting communities and promotes values of diversity and acceptance. During the workshop, 20 participants from museums and educational NGOs designed and tested interactive activities inspired by the Gayer-Anderson Museum artifacts.

Artifacts such as an ostrich egg engraved with cityscapes, a sundial and a magic dew-collection plate inspired storytelling, art and science activities that connected the children’s present to their past.
