About The Project
January 2024 – Ongoing; funded by ALEXBANK.
A Craft Design Project, where Hani Mahfouz, Nour el-Sherif, and Marwan Fayed collaborate with the youth, women, and children residing in al-Khalifa area to develop designs inspired by the rich heritage of their area. These designs are then transformed into a textile-based line of products and educational kits.
The project is a continuation of the Athar Lina Initiative’s efforts to connect the residents of al-Khalifa with the rich heritage and history of the area, fostering their design thinking through creative workshops and training programs.
