Paid internship opportunity for ERTH: Athar Lina Climate and Heritage Project
ERTH- A project focused on integrated solutions for climate change impact on heritage buildings through conservation, training and community participation invites students and young professional architects and conservators to apply to its annual paid internship.
The internships will be in the following fields:
• Conservation – conservation training at the domes of Yahya al-Shabih and Safiyy al-Din Jawhar.
• Groundwater solutions and reuse – research and design for pilot interventions that will be implemented in conservation sites affected by groundwater.
• Community outreach – designing and conducting outreach awareness on heritage and climate change targeting the communities surrounding the domes conserved by the project.
Participants are encouraged to select the area that best fits their interest and skills when applying. Residents of Historic Cairo are encouraged to apply and will be given first priority.
Duration: 2 months (June+July OR August+September)

ERTH is run by Megawra’s Athar Lina Initiative under the supervision of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities with funding from the British Council’s #CulturalProtectionFund, in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
