Ibn Tulun Treasure Hunt
10 Jan, 2023
Did you hear the legend about the construction of the Mosque of Ibn Tulun? It is said that the mosque was built with thousands of thousands of dinars! Would you like to discover the secrets of the mosque and its amazing legends? Do you want to learn about Ibn Tulun, his children, and his mosque which would be used for various things throughout the years?
Sign-up your children and little loved ones and join us in the Ibn Tulun Treasure Hunt!
Your children will play and have fun inside one of Cairo’s oldest buildings.
Activities include team challenges that strengthen the spirit of teamwork and the values of competition, storytelling where they learn to express themselves with confidence, and an artistic activity where they create a collage about their experience of the day.
The day ends with a surprise! Children receive a special souvenir for them to take home to play with and share their knowledge of the Ibn Tulun Mosque!
This event is part of the Khalifa Tours program. It is organised by the Built Environment Collective and all revenues go towards supporting the sustainability of the NGO’s educational and community programs in al-Khalifa neighbourhood.
Accompanying adults can join the children in their activities or explore the mosque and participate in their own art activity while the children play.
