Talk and Discussion: Running on the Edge; Design from India Aniket Bhagwat, Landscape Designer, India Aniket Bhagwat, the firm's senior partner and lead designer shares works from India and his studio, and argues for a way of undertaking work that is devoid of global burden, that rejects traditional architectural design decision sequences, and treads lightly yet responds with deep empathy to the sense of rootedness. M/s.Prabhakar B. Bhagwat is India's oldest and best known Landscape Design practice ; and now equally known for its Architectural and Master Planning works. It also is known for the considerable energy it invests in research and outreach works. With two medium size studios in the Western part of India, it straddles complexity, scale, typology and investigates syntax with a blistering pace. This project builds on five years of experience of Athar Lina Initiative in Khalifa, through integrated work that conceives of heritage as a vehicle for development. It is organized by Megawra-Built Environment Collective under the supervision of the Ministry of Antiquities and Cairo Governorate and funded by the American Embassy and the American Research Center in Egypt.
